What is the acronym S.U.D.E.P.?

S.U.D.E.P. means:

Sudden

Unexpected

Death of an

Epileptic

Patient.

Seizures happen out of no where. Some are what are called absence seizures and they progress in severity until the person reaches what is called Status Epilepticus (a seizure that won't stop)

My first seizure, I was having a grand mal in status epilepticus for 58 minutes.
