What am I up to?
I have a lot going on at the moment. The above photo represents one of the things I have in the works. I will be attempting to submit something for their Tiny Tales. Actually I have two different ones that I have been working on.
Two of the books I was accepted into this year have been released. April Horrors and Lost Lore and Legends, Links can be found on my website.
I have developed a Master File with templates for doing book reviews. I made a template for audio books, anthologies, and one for novels. Reviews are such an important part of the marketing process. I needed to make it seem less daunting to achieve. I have a list of ones that need to be completed and I am about half way through. My reviews are posted on this website, I try to post them as soon as they are added to Amazon. Check them out, you might find something interesting to read.
The website itself has been being updated regularly, with book reviews as I finish them and post them on Amazon...any other information as it happens to keep the website up to date the best I can. Be sure to check in there when you are reading my blog posts. You may see things I haven't talked about in one of these posts. For example my review of Tim Mendees's Burning Reflection.
I am still working on the Adventure Awaits call. It's not going as well as I had hoped or planned. Hoping to get it into Breaking Rules Europe before the deadline. Keep your fingers crossed for me, but don't hold your breath while "Andrea Harrison and Melissa Reed, go for a 10 day hiking trip in the mountains. What struggles will they face during those 10 days?"
I signed up for a fiction marathon, that begins during the first week of April. I am very excited for that. I'll keep you informed of my placement
Since the beginning of the year, I have been participating in the Furious Fiction contest. It is based in Australia but open to the world. The first weekend of every month, they send a list of criteria to be included in a short story, we have 500 words to work with, HOWEVER, we have just 55 hours to complete it. Those 55 hours get decreased for me because of the time difference though, unless I get up in the middle of the night to start. There is a prize though, money, if I win. Next time, I will include my January entry for all to see.
Sad news received the other day as well. My story for Candy Capers, Our Chocolate Anniversary was not accepted. Rejections are part of this process and if my story wasn't what Raven and Drake were looking for, so be it. I can do more work on it and at some point someone will be looking for something like it. Better luck next time.
I'll post a link when CANDY CAPERS is available for purchase, because these proceeds go to a very good cause. Brain Tumor Research and anything to do with the brain is a big attractor for me.
Hi, love your article, keep it up. Sorry about your rejection, better luck next time. I took part in furious fiction last month, This month I forgot.
Is Andrea still avoiding her fate? Furious Fiction sounds both interesting and nerve-wracking. Sorry you didn't get into Candy Capers, but now I want some chocolate. And hey, you've got two books out this month! That's reason for chocolate right there. ;)
